We did this this morning as we were waiting to leave on our adventure for today!
Baking Soda Fun
Ingredients:
Baking Soda
Pan
food color
vinegar
dropper (I used a dollar store baby nose cleaner) :)
I sprinkled one layer of baking soda on the bottom of a baking pan (did this new for each of the kids). Then placed some vinegar in each of 3 mugs and dropped food coloring into each to make three colors. I also did one mug of just water so they could clean out the dropper between colors. (Only because I didn't want to buy one for each color... saving money!) :)
Then the kids went to work. I did have the boys take their shirts off since we hadn't left for the day and I didn't want to take any chances of getting food coloring on them before we left, but there was no mess so I needn't have worried!
They discovered what happened if you put TOO much on as opposed to a small amount.
It was a fun way to start our day!
