Day 19: 31 Days of Pinterest: Exploding Soap

Yes, even though we started our family vacation today, and even though we first drove from 7 am until almost 6 pm, we still made time for our Pinterest idea of the day!

I planned ahead and this was an easy one to do today after a long trip.

All you need is a bar of Ivory soap!  (Will other soaps work?  I don't know... might make a great science experiment for some kids I know!)

Unwrap...

Place on a paper towel in the microwave...

Set the time for 2-3 min, but you can stop at any time, 

and watch the fun!

And you'll have an exploding soap cloud!

Contrary to what you might think, and I wasn't sure about,

there really is no mess.  

A little got on the sides of the microwave, but it wiped right off.

It becomes like dry soap flakes.

With that in mind, you may want to have the kids "play"

with their soap cloud on something so it's easy to clean up the little pieces.

But otherwise they will wipe right off!
