Prayers

Friends, please pray for decisions this week or so. I am in communication with an agency who also works in the area I had hoped to adopt from. I was referred to them by a fellow blogger and FB friend. :) They have been nothing short of WONDERFUL in communications with me, something I have NOT found in all the many agencies I have emailed and asked questions of. BUT, as worried as I already was about money (that so stinks doesn't it, that money has to play a part in ORPHANS being brought HOME!), this agency is 5,000-8,000 MORE than the one I was going through. In addition, although I want badly to travel to this country, to see the area and people, it is recommended that I use an escort if I choose this agency. Something that would be very helpful with my single parent and full time job status. BUT, I may still choose to travel as I think it would be a huge part of the process and also some great bonding time away from the three munchkins at home! :) So, LOTS of prayers! I feel like this is RIGHT. I am just SO nervous about the money. :( Pray for my peace in that situation if it is indeed the door God would have me walk through!

I SO understand Lisa. Hubby and I were on the phone last night discussing finances and adoption and just sick at our stomachs at how MUCH we need.
But our God is bigger than the gap between what little we have and what we need!
And I am praying for you especially this week and praying God brings many many readers to also lift you up and to order new blog makeovers from my Mountain Moving Monday Post!
God knew you needed to be the first featured family...He knew the decisions you would be facing this very week. He is so faithful.
One step at a time, keeping our eyes on Him...
love,
Holly

Lisa,

Praying for you today. My husband keeps saying, "It's not right to have to pay SO much money to bring orphans home." I so agree, but that won't be changing.

Have you looked into any grants? I know it's time consuming and the economy isn't helping these days, but God is BIG!

Knowing that if it's His will, He will provide every bit of it, in the perfect way, in His time!

Love,
Christie

Holly , thanks again so much for showing us as your first featured family!!!

Christie, yes I have about a million grant sites bookmarked! LOL Unfortunately I can't start applying until my homestudy is done, and since my program I'm probably going with is SO quick, I need the money so quick! A good and bad thing! :) Thanks always so much for your comments and prayers!

What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Additional information on transmission of HIV can be found on the Center for Disease Control website: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources

Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
