Nope

No such luck. Olivia is being transferred tomorrow to our "home" hospital by ambulance. They want her still in care while they await the results of what type/strain of infection it is/was and how to best medicate and treat. The results won't be in until probably Tuesday, so we opted to transfer her instead of remaining here longer. My poor friend! I think we've overstayed our welcome with her not feeling well, arguing children, not so nice children, etc. She has been so wonderful and helpful and I'm grateful to have had the help!!!

So we travel home tomorrow. I have to say as crazy as it's going to get with being home and trying to figure out what's going to happen with our trip to Florida, keeping the boys occupied, etc, it is sure going to feel good to be home in my own bed in familiar surroundings again!

Tonight was definately rougher and I'm glad that Olivia will still be in care a while longer. Mom didn't do so well tonight! :( I seriously am worried about her after care on my part... tonight they changed her packing material where her infection was, she asked me to just hold her hand, I had to sit down once to take a drink as I thought I was going to be sick. I rejoined her and steadied myself, and then had to go to sit in the bathroom as my vision was gone, forehead drenched, and I thought I'd pass out or be sick. It's not a pretty thing and yet I then had to listen to her cry she wanted them to stop and wanted to go home and that she "can't do it" and I as her mom could literally do nothing to comfort her but tell her it was almost over as I sat on the bathroom floor. :( I have a few ideas on how to get "help" for this now from some FB friends, so hopefully that will work out because I just don't know how I can do it.

She's asleep now, has been for about an hour, and I pray she gets some good rest tonight. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

Oh my goodness, that sounds so so so awful! I feel terrible for her, and for you too. How large is this infection? I am so glad you are at home in familiar territory. Will be praying. Please keep us posted.

Praying for Olivia and you. I can only imagine how difficult it is to see her like that and not be able to help. Hang in there.

What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Additional information on transmission of HIV can be found on the Center for Disease Control website: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources

Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
