A Soaring Heart

Yesterday was THE day... the day Davids was to find out the news about his "first" family and their decision... and the day to find out about the hundreds of people praying for him and the news that a new family wanted him to be a part of theirs forever.

The Social Worker who shared this news with Davids and prayed with him, sent this email (I was told to share this, to allow all of you to see the wonderful thing that you have done with your prayer and financial support!) :)

Hello *****, Our talk, as waited, went very well! I told all honestly that the first family couldn't adopt him for some reasons, but there is something very special for him. Then I said to want introduce him with someone and gave photo and explained that is family who heard about him and through the couple days saw him as their son.
For some seconds it was shock...but he started smile and immediately started ask about everyone. We read all what you wrote to me about Kilgore family. It was really funny when we read part about his dad and his job, he excitedly rubbing his hands, as he is ready to get to work. He asked is there around a big, strong tree, where he can build headquarters, because David so much likes made something, constructors, he attends ship modeling. We also read part where hundreds people pray for him. In the end he asked me wrote every of his family name on photo. We also talked about Peter and he know that we hope that family is coming in February. We talked how God is good and it's miracle for him. Then we prayed and thank God for all, he repeated after me and my last words was "it's best gift in my birthday", but he continued with words "and forever". I can't explain how much it touch my heart! thank Kilgor family! In photos all is seen, how he feels right now! *****

I'm struck by how young he looks. How innocent. No way that child is ready to be out on his own.

So glad he got his miracle.

That fist pump in the air is priceless...we certainly serve an awesome God!

It was maybe 10 days ago that I heard of Davids' situation and God has caused him to come to mind many times since then. Today is his 16th birthday and I had to go online to do some digging to find out how things were going for him. My heart is overjoyed to see that his dream of growing up in America will be coming true. Thanks for sharing his story.

What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
