A Glimpse Into the ?Future?

Tonight was another crazy busy night. It's that time of year isn't it!? :) Last night we had a Christmas party put on by my "old" foster care agency, Liam's agency. We went from school to a couple errands to the party and home to bed. It was fun though to see some of the workers, let the kids play games, be fawned over by the college students helping to put on the party, eat pizza and cookies, and see Santa.

This Santa, a little bit thin and a little bitter maybe to be Santa??? :) One of J's kids, a 5 year old, patted his stomach and said, "Are you on a diet?" So funny!!! Liam wanted nothing to do with being anywhere near him, it was hilarious. :) But at home all he does is kiss the large Santa my grandmother made me when I was a baby and talk about asking Santa for a bike for Christmas!

Tonight, we went from school to an errand to dinner with J and her three girls to dropping the kids off at church for "Mom's Day Off" to my friend J's Lia Sophia party. J was putting on the party at a friend's house, so she was the host. The church activities ended at 9 and the party was still going strong at 8:30, so I offered to pick up the crew. :) 6 kids ages 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7!!!

It went so well. I picked them up from 4 different rooms, bundled them all in coats and hats, grabbed the two diaper bags, packed the van full of kiddos, and hit the road. I was dropping the "other 3" off at J's parents' house. On the way I put in a Christian kids' CD and then said loudly, "Now, I do not like ANY singing in this car, so NO SINGING!" That always is sure to elicit a lot of giggles and loud singing from all, including Liam. It was so cute! They sang all the way to the house and the three girls went in happy as clams.

After we said our goodbyes and headed home I heard a hilarious conversation from Olivia and Braeden...

Olivia - Mom, sometimes people call Santa chubby and that makes me feel sad for him.

Braeden - Coal. Those people are getting coal.

Olivia - Mom, I know ALL of God's friends: the tooth fairy, angels, Santa...

Braeden - Mom, does God REALLY know them???

Olivia - (talking again about Santa being chubby to Braeden) Well, he is kind of big. He does eat a lot of cookies.

Braeden - Mom, I have a plan. We could help Santa not eat so many cookies by giving him - CANDY CANES!

LOL LOL LOL They crack me up!!!

What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
