Yesterday I was talking with the kids about a special, very unexpected gift that my parents are giving us for Christmas as a family gift. Braeden became downcast, hung his head, and walked to the couch to sit down, holding Percy in his lap. At first, inside, I was quite upset. I thought for sure he is mad because it's not some big toy or video game console or something. But I asked him, waiting for the backlash. And what he said warmed my heart. He said, "I thought you were going to say a baby sister." Oh. My. Heart.
