A Disney Celebration

We hadn't planned on going to Disney this summer.  We went last August with Olivia's wish trip, so were going to take a "break."  BUT, with their bday free entrance in 2009, it was hard to pass up.

Yesterday was my bday.  Yes, another year older.  I'm 39 now, unbelievable!  Where does the time go?  I certainly don't FEEL 39, however that is supposed to feel! :)  So I thought, what better place to celebrate. :)

I just took Olivia, it's pricey and she and I both like the "scarier" rides.  So we rode Rockin' Roller Coaster, rode Tower of Terror twice, saw most everything else, and even did a little shopping, it was LOTS of fun!

Olivia danced in the HSM show...

We ate our one big meal at Hollywood and Vine - SO GOOD!  We happened upon this place by accident a couple years ago when we had the dining plan and the Sci Fi Dine in was full...

Met Prince Caspian...

Saw what Walt Disney looked like ( she said he did a really good job )  :)

Went to American Idol twice - very cool!  The winner of the day gets a "golden ticket" good to get them to the front of the line at any Am. Idol audition around the country...
The only thing I was incredibly bummed at was that there was NO Fantasmic!  My favorite show!  And none on Wed - I had NO IDEA! :(  Oh well... there will always be another time! :)

Happy birthday! It was my husband's birthday yesterday too, but we didn't do anything nearly so spectacular. :)

so you are a way cooler mom than me.
I wouldn't ride the tower of terror or that loud dark roller coaster even when my big kids pleaded.
No way. I don't like that feeling of impending death!!
glad you girls had fun!

LOL! Maybe not such a cool mom on the days when I "make" Braeden who hates rides like that go on one or two just so I can! :) I'm so happy to have a companion rider in Olivia! :)

About Me

I am a single mom to four amazing kids; each of whom just happen to have been adopted. The first three were adopted through foster care, and we just completed an international adoption from Haiti. Our family has grown through adoption and I am all the more blessed to know each of my children. What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
