Hair

I branched out a little yesterday on Girlie's hair...

It turned out pretty good I think. :) Olivia was a little jealous. I told her I'd do hers next weekend. :) I can't take in any more girls with this kind of hair - too much work! :) But oh so fun to experiment! :) It looked even cuter today when I replaced the cherry ball pony with a pink bow. :)

LOVE IT!!!!! Do you struggle with them getting bumps? Gracie gets them no matter what- loose pony tails- tight whatever- it makes me crazy- I hope it is a phase as it does seem to come and go but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong or right! I did break down and buy "Carols Daughters" products and I love them so far!!! They smell so good and aren't too greasy!

I have never had them get bumps, so am not sure. I too bought CD products, love the hair milk. Not crazy about the loc butter, but maybe not using it right??? What else did you get from them?

I know what the bumps are from!!! The hair dresser that helped me out with me first AA foster daughter said that they are from the elastic pony tail holders. They will slowly pull the hair out. She said to use pony tail holders that are cloth covered and to save the elastic ones to hold the beads in place--I hope that this helps!

THanks Rebecca! I did take all the rubberbands out and replace them with just cloth bands- the colored ones- it seems to have helped- Lisa- I LOVE the Black Vanilla leave in conditioner- and the Rosemary Mint Shampoo with Sea Moss for dry hair and The essential oils of sage and rosemary in Lisa's Hair Elixir help combat dry hair and scalp while peppermint gives a refreshing tingle. I also have the Honey exlir palmade for the flyaways- (I copied most of this text from the site-ha!) I bought the "Best Tressed" combo pack to see what I would like - I like it all- and Gracie loves to smell it! :)

What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Additional information on transmission of HIV can be found on the Center for Disease Control website: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources

Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
