Someone had asked about the good and the bad of HIV and parenting HIV.
So... the good...
The good of adopting and parenting a child with HIV? It's the same "good" as adopting and/or parenting ANY child. Once that child is yours, whether it be through a picture hung on your wall and prayed over time and again while you wait to travel and bring them home, or when you first meet and lay eyes on that child, or open your door to a foster placement, it's not "HIV" that walks through your door and into your heart, it's a CHILD. And the joy that a child can and does bring to your life, that's the good! :)
