Popsicles have become my new favorite thing.

I'm beginning to dream about popsicles crazily enough.

But I think you'll understand why when I explain.

You see the other day a couple weeks ago my worker at my adoption agency sent me an email. I wasn't really expecting contact about anything specific so my heart jumped a bit, thinking it could mean that a new child had been listed on the waiting child list. That's the list I will "find" our little one on, hopefully soon, but right now there aren't any that I feel God is saying is "ours." I thought maybe, just maybe, our little one is now available.

But alas, it wasn't to be. She was emailing about something else. And in my response I jokingly said to her that my heart raced a bit thinking "This could be it." Her response to me was "Oh no, we can't have that, maybe we need a code word so you'll KNOW." :)

And I, also jokingly, responded, "How about Popsicles?" :)

This past Friday I got a "real" Popsicles email. A new little one was being listed and she asked if I wanted to inquire and receive more information. This new little one was still older than I felt was what God had called us to, and I was unsure. I emailed an online friend and I hesitantly talked to Braeden and Olivia about the email. I thought for sure they would immediately jump up and down and say that that was HER, that was their sister, which is why I was hesitant. But they shocked me. They didn't. At all. While I was explaining, Olivia was shaking her head as if to say, "No, I don't think that's her." And Braeden said without hesitation, "No, (so and so's) ONE, not THREE!" I was very surprised, but it was confirmation to me that God is in control. That I just need to keep trusting HIM. That all will play out in HIS time. And that our REAL Popsicle will be here before we know it!

What you should know about HIV

-HIV can NOT be spread through casual/household contact. HIV is not spread through hugging, kissing, shaking hands, sharing toys, sneezing, coughing, sharing food, sharing drinks, bathing, swimming or any other casual way. It has been proven that HIV and AIDS can only be spread through sexual contact, birth, breastfeeding and blood to blood contact (such as sharing needles). - HIV is now considered a chronic but manageable disease. With treatment, people who are HIV+ can live indefinitely without developing AIDS and can live long and full lives. - People who are HIV+ deserve to be treated with love, respect, support and acceptance as all people do. Additional information on transmission of HIV can be found on the Center for Disease Control website: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources

Little Did I Know

Little did I know that the road would be so rocky
Little did I know that the trip would take so long
Little did I know that my heart could hurt so much
Little did I know that God is never wrong

Little did I know that love could be so powerful
Little did I know that a dream so far could go
Little did I know that God would place the right ones
Little did I know that my heart, so large, could grow

Little did I know that a dream has it’s own timing
Little did I know that this day would finally come
Little did I know that four souls would be sent to guide me
Little did I know that they would choose to call me mom

But God knew all along and He had a plan to follow
God knew all along that my dream would soon come true
God knew all along that we five should be together
God knew all along that I’d share it all with you
