Quick Update on Today

We had a long day today. Olivia had another seizure this morning about 5 am. After dropping the littles off at 6am for day care, Olivia and I went to UofC for her tests. She had an EEG at 8:15. After, we had a regular clinic visit. They told us they would consult with the neurology staff today/tomorrow and hopefully contact us later in the day tomorrow with the results.. Her MRI was scheduled for 12, but we didn't get to go back until about 1. They sedated her, and she went in for the test at 1:30. They said it would be about an hour, but finally called me back 1 1/2 hours later. She came out of the sedation well and we headed home (she was so out of it!). Not 20 min into the drive one of her doctors called my cell. Another doctor had done just a preliminary reading of just the EEG and said she needed to start seizure medication tonight. They called it in for us and we picked it up later. They will do a more formal assessment of the EEG tomorrow as well as the MRI and hopefully contact me in the afternoon when they know more.
